Noldus IT developed a portable observation lab, a complete lab (laptop, two digital cameras, tripods and two microphones) in a rugged suitcase. This complete lab is easy to set up and weighs less than 10 kg. It is specially designed for for observing people in their natural environments: at home, in shops, in classrooms or offices. At the core of the portable lab is The Observer^âXT, professional software for the collection, analysis, and presentation of observational data. Food industries can rent or purchase this mobile laboratory. It can be used in any environment of interest. The set-up can be expanded with extra cameras, with a system to monitor the physiological state of the consumer, or with FaceReader™, software to analyze facial expressions. Facial expressions give information about the emotional state of the test participants.
